Aarhus Soundsystem uses a lot of simulations, subjective listening tests and measurements to design and evaluate their loudspeakers performance. However, they have had bad experiences with measurements having difficulty getting accurate results. Using the SAFE platform to do audio tests, lets Troels easily build the measurement sequence, by dragging and dropping, enabling him to test the loudspeaker in several different angles. In the end “we got some valid test results from 0 degrees to 90 degrees off-axis in the frequency range of 100 Hz – 20000 Hz”, Troels says. This will be used to further improve their crossover-filter and a better sounding loudspeaker.
